A flock of wild turkies also calls Kendor Ranch their home. Weve seen as many as 40 birds wandering around on our roads, through our fields, and even up on the front lawn. In this picture, a small group is busy searching for food on the front (west) lawn. The story weve heard is that a few years ago, during a windstorm, a turkey farm south of Hamilton had its fences blow down, and many of the birds escaped into the wild, where they are flourishing. Their only predators are the wolves and the coyotes. |
